Details: In HB 2460 (Act 696) of 2007, the Arkansas Legislature created the Commission on Global Warming and directed it to conduct an in-depth study on the impacts of global warming on the state, establish an emissions reduction target, and develop a strategic plan for meeting the reduction target. The Commission is directed to report its findings to the governor and the legislature by November 1, 2008.
