"No greater problem confronts mankind than global warming. There is little doubt that our individual activities, large and small, collectively contribute to this problem in a meaningful way and we must all do our part to address the challenge," said Evan G. Greenberg, Chairman and CEO, ACE Limited.
Reasons for Joining Climate Leaders
ACE joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Climate Leaders Program as part of our efforts to develop a long-term, comprehensive climate-change strategy. In addition to joining Climate Leaders, ACE is undertaking a number of initiatives to reduce, reuse and recycle resources on a company-wide basis. We have also initiated a review of our Bermuda global headquarters building and our Philadelphia North American headquarters building to determine the steps and investments we need to make in order to have them certified as "green" buildings by one of the industry benchmark programs for energy efficiency.
