| GHG Reductions Before Joining Climate Leaders Since the mid-1990s, Alcoa has been an active member in the aluminum industry's Voluntary Aluminum Industrial Partnership with the U.S. EPA. Since 1990, Alcoa U.S. aluminum smelters have reported and reduced perfluorocarbon related emissions by 75% or 7.63 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalents. Globally, Alcoa has reduced its direct GHG emissions by 33% since 1990 despite significant growth. | |
