Bluebonnet's Mission At Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative, we have a commitment to our members to be the best we can be at delivering reliable electric power and related services at a competitive price. To facilitate this commitment, we will continue to invest in the latest proven technologies, good stewardship of our environment and the communities we serve, as well as in the health and safety of the public, our members and our employees—the true source of energy at Bluebonnet. "Now is the time for all of us to take an active role in preserving and enhancing our environment," said Mark Rose, Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative's General Manager/CEO. "For Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative, a partnership with Climate Leaders means we're taking proactive measures to ensure we are doing all we can to guarantee a bright future for generations to come." | |
| Reasons for Joining Climate Leaders As an electric cooperative one of our guiding principles is "Concern for Community—while focusing on member needs, cooperatives work for the sustainable development of their communities through policies accepted by their members." In this time of global warming and generation constraints we are committed to keeping our electric service reliable and reasonably priced while ensuring that the safety and health of our communities are not at risk. By joining Climate Leaders and calculating our carbon footprint we can determine where we stand today and make a plan to ensure that we reduce our footprint in the future. | |
