Company Description
Conservation Services Group, Inc. (CSG) began as a nonprofit in 1984 to design, develop, and deliver energy efficiency programs for utility companies, public housing authorities and agencies, and private customers. CSG promotes energy efficiency, health and safety, building durability, comfort, and environmental responsibility.

Actively promoting renewable energy since 1996, CSG works with developers on renewable energy projects, to support renewables investment and expand these markets. CSG supports REC product development, influences public policy, and participates in emerging energy markets. CSG has also offered Green-e certified green power products since 2000, and manages successful solar energy programs.

As part of its mission to reduce environmental impacts of energy use, CSG feels it is critical to embrace its role as a responsible corporate citizen. Since 2004, CSG has calculated CO2 emissions resulting from its daily business activities, including office energy use and business travel.

“It’s critical we do our part to have a positive impact in the environment and in the community,” said Steve Cowell, chief executive officer of CSG. “We are demonstrating this commitment by offsetting our entire carbon footprint for 2006 and making a commitment to do this every year henceforth.”

Headquartered in Westborough, Massachusetts, CSG operates offices nationwide.
