February 25, 2014 - New International CMM Pre-feasibility Studies Now Available!
EPA's Coalbed Methane Outreach Program (CMOP) has published two new coal mine methane (CMM) pre-feasibility studies:
Pre-feasibility Study for Coal Mine Methane Recovery and Utilization at Baganuur Mine, Mongolia (PDF, 35 pp, 12.3MB)
The study evaluates the feasibility of a coal mine methane (CMM) recovery and utilization project at a surface mine east of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Pre-feasibility Study on Coal Mine Methane Recovery and Utilization at Komsomolets Donbassa (KD) Mine in Donetsk, Ukraine (PDF, 87 pp, 67.5MB)
The study assesses the technical and economic feasibility of drilling vertical pre-mine drainage wells and surface gob vent boreholes in a future mining area of the active, underground mine in eastern Ukraine.

July 17, 2013 - New International CMM Pre-feasibility Studies Now Available!
EPA’s Coalbed Methane Outreach Program (CMOP) has published the following three studies:
- Pre-Feasibility Study for CMM Recovery and Utilization at Yanjing Coal Mine, Chongqing Municipality, China;
- Pre-Feasibility Study for CMM Recovery and Utilization at Fuhong Coal Mine, Guizhou, China; and,
- Pre-Feasibility Study for CMM Recovery and Utilization at Naryn Sukhait Coal Mine, Mongolia.
The studies, conducted by Raven Ridge Resources, Incorporated (RRR), evaluate the feasibility of coal mine methane (CMM) recovery and utilization projects for two underground coal mines located in southwest China and at a surface mine in the South Gobi region of Mongolia.

May 29, 2013 - New International CMM Pre-feasibility Study Now Available!
EPA’s Coalbed Methane Outreach Program (CMOP) has published a Pre-Feasibility Study for CMM Drainage and Utilization at ArcelorMittal Coal Mines, Karaganda Coal Basin, Kazakhstan. The study, conducted by Eastern Research Group, Inc. (ERG), evaluates the feasibility of a coal mine methane (CMM) recovery and utilization project for six underground ArcelorMittal coal mines located in the Karaganda coal basin.
