National Environmental Crime Prevention Week
EPA's criminal enforcement program recognizes the importance of enlisting the public's help in identifying and reporting environmental crimes and catching fugitives. EPA supports the four Regional Environmental Enforcement Associations, which have declared one week in April as National Environmental Crime Prevention Week.
EPA criminal enforcement works with state and local law enforcement officers in the detection of environmental crimes and, to increase environmental crimes awareness for students, community leaders, and the general public.
