Reporting functions within ICIS allow users to retrieve and display data in either standard or ad hoc reports.

Standard reports are pre-defined reports that can be run to display certain widely used information.  A set of national standard reports is also included with ICIS. Each of these reports has specific logic and is directed to the types of users who will most often use the information.

Ad hoc reports allow users to define their own reports to display information for a specific need or requirement.  Ad hoc reporting uses a set of predefined objects to develop reports based on the user's data needs. Users can create a customized query, then format the retrieved information for easy analysis of underlying trends within ICIS.

The ICIS Reporting Tool uses Business Objects XI, a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product that provides both self-service access to data and intuitive information analysis.

The following resources offer more detailed information on creating reports with Business Objects.

You will need Adobe Reader to view some of the files on this page. See EPA's PDF page to learn more.
