Due to the complexity of integrating information from multiple data systems, EPA is releasing Integrated Compliance Information System (ICIS) in phases. The schedule is:

2002: Phase I: EPA integrated core federal enforcement and compliance data from EPA regions and headquarters:

Replaced the Enforcement Docket as the system of record for Federal Enforcement Actions

Interface with Facility Registry System (FRS)

2006: Phase II: Expand core enforcement and compliance data to support a broader range of Clean Water Act (CWA) programmatic needs. State and Federal CWA permitting and State enforcement data will be added, data requirements for new programs will be included and permit application and calculation tools developed.

2007+: Phase III: ICIS integrate enforcement and compliance data systems for other environmental media (e.g., air, toxics, pesticides and waste).
