EPA’s Council for Regulatory Modeling (CREM) distributes a variety of tools in order to communicate best modeling practices within the Agency. This increases the scientific integrity and defensibility of EPA modeling. As a follow-up to CREM’s Guidance Document on the Development, Evaluation, and Application of Environmental Models in March 2009 (PDF) (99 pp, 1.67Mb, about PDF), the CREM has developed a suite of interactive web-based training modules. These modules are designed to provide overviews of technical aspects of environmental modeling and best modeling practices. User may work and learn at their own pace using either the in-browser Java applications or PDF files.
