CWNS 2008
The CWNS 2008 data collection period is February 5, 2008 - February 27, 2009. One of the primary goals of CWNS 2008 is to make it easier for states and local communities to submit their information by:- Moving the data entry system to the Internet to enable them to submit data electronically to their state CWNS coordinator
- Integrating data with other EPA programs
- Providing enhanced cost curves for on-site and decentralized treatment systems and new cost curves for new pipe and pipe replacement needs
- Improving needs documentation rules and review methods

Important Dates
- January 16-18, 2008: CWNS 2008 Kickoff Meeting for state and regional CWNS coordinators was held in San Diego, CA. EPA provided training about CWNS eligibility and documentation as well detailed data entry system training at this meeting. Video data entry system training modules were available to all CWNS system users
- February 5, 2008 - February 27, 2009: Data entry
- February - July 2008: EPA will review and pre-approve innovative methodologies proposed by states for documenting needs and costs prior to CWNS 2008 data entry
- March - June 2009: Data review
