All visitors are required to show photo identification*, pass through a metal detector, and sign the EPA visitor log. Visitors will receive an EPA/DC badge that must be visible at all times and must be returned at the conclusion of your visit. Visitor materials, including purses, backpacks, briefcases, etc. will be processed through an X-ray machine.

*As part of its implementation of the REAL ID Act, the Department of Homeland Security is now requires visitors to present unexpired state-issued driver’s licenses as IDs. NOTE: Presently, licenses from several states/territories do not comply with the REAL ID Act and will not be accepted as a photo ID.  For more information including a list of noncompliant states and accepted alternative forms of identification click here.
