Final Amendments to Air Toxics Standards for Perchloroethylene
Dry Cleaners
(July 13, 2006) - The Environmental Protection Agency finalized amendments to its 1993 regulations for drycleaners. The amended regulations cover large industrial drycleaners as well as smaller neighborhood drycleaners and those located in apartment buildings

Comment Period Extension
On February 6, 2006, EPA extended the public comment period on
the proposed regulations to reduce the health risks posed by perchlorethylene
dry cleaners. The new comment deadline closed March 23 , 2006.
EPA must issue a final rule by July 13, 2006.

Proposed Amendments to Air Toxics Standards for Perchloroethylene
Dry Cleaners
(December 9, 2005) - The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed
regulations to reduce the health risks posed by perchloroethylene
dry cleaners. As part of this proposal, the EPA also is seeking
additional information on how the Agency might be able to reduce
risks even further.
