Stressful commute?
The City of Dallas will host a free workshop that will teach area businesses how to start a company commute program for employees from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on August 7 at Dallas City Hall, 1500 Marilla Street.
A Nurtured World Inc. will conduct the workshop with funding made possible through a grant from EPA.
The workshop is geared toward businesses with more than 1,000 employees and will cover the technical and cultural aspects of implementing or improving a Commute Solutions program.
A growing number of companies are offering their employees commute options ranging from transit and vanpool subsidies to carpool matching services. Benefits include tax breaks, increased employee productivity and retention, reduced traffic congestion and stress and improved air quality.
