- Projects reducing and/or recycling 30 priority chemicals;
- Mining waste reuse;
- Oil pit waste reuse;
- Waste minimization efforts for wood treatment facilities;
- Recovery of methane from landfills, wastewater treatment plants or concentrated animal feeding operations for energy; and
- Tire reuse/recycling - TDF & Asphalt Rubber

New Mexico Pilots
Region 6 has partnered with EPA Headquarters, the New Mexico Environment Department, and the Mining and Minerals Division of the New Mexico Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department to assess possibilities of land reuse for renewable energy projects.
