Agriculture Street Landfill Investment in the Community
Investment back into the community has been a priority of the EPA at the Agriculture Street Landfill Superfund. EPA, USACE, and their contractors have conducted significant outreach efforts to ensure local vendors and subcontractors have opportunities to bid on work at the site. The results have been a significant larger portion of Superfund dollars going directly back into the community through local hiring, subcontracting, and vendor selection. In addition, EPA and USACE has used working training programs and various outreach programs to historically black universities to provide additional opportunities to the local community.
