Canadian Buildings Screening Tool

The Office of Energy Efficiency and Natural Resources Canada offers a screening tool for their incentive program. While the tool is designed specifically for Canada, the process offers a type of benchmark for cold-weather design of new buildings.

Australian Benchmarking Resources

The Australian Greenhouse Office offers a good discussion of benchmarking energy use in buildings.

US Green Buildings Council

Link to the US Green Building Council website. They offer a broad view of environmentally friendly, socially-responsible buildings. This is the home of the LEED Green Building Rating System.
