This EFC was established in 1992 To provide technical assistance to federal, state, and local governments and public and private entities, specifically in capacity development in small water systems. The UNM-EFC has a particular commitment to identifying financing options and promoting low-cost, alternative, and appropriate technologies for projects that will encourage sustainable development, pollution prevention, and source reduction - at affordable and viable levels. Ongoing relationships with several bi-national agencies developed from previous border work have been maintained.
