Recent Additions

EIMS became EPA's node of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) (http://www.fgdc.gov/) as of August 24, 2000. EIMS is a registered Geospatial Clearinghouse Node of NSDI, and as such allows the national network of NSDI Gateway servers to search EPA-EIMS for geospatial metadata at EPA. The EIMS database supports the full Geospatial Metadata Content Standard developed by the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC). NSDI is an excellent opportunity for Agency scientists to publish, share, and use digital geographic information over the Internet.

The EIMS database and associated web application are periodically updated in response to input from our partners and users. Enhancements of the EIMS web application will be implemented when completed by the EIMS development team. Suggestions for future enhancements of EIMS may be submitted using the Comments link at the bottom of this page.

Read below about some of the latest features that have been added to EIMS.
