| Soft Delete Function |
This new feature allows Partner Librarians to set a record's Metadata Status to Deleted. Once “deleted”, only EIMS Administrator users can view (and edit) the record. In this way, Partner Librarians can dispense with unwanted records, while still maintaining the ability to retrieve the record at a later date. |
| Partner Searches |
Association of an Organization ID with a Person ID (indicating that the user / contact belongs to the specified organization) is now based upon all levels of the organization name, thus avoiding inadvertent duplication. For example…
- Harvard University (level 1),
- Harvard University School of Public Health (levels 1 and 2), and
- Harvard University School of Public Health, Dept. of Toxicology (levels 1, 2, and 3)
…all have the same value for Org Level 1. By including all 4 levels of the organization name when associating it with a person, the match is exact. |
| Date Checking on Administrative Details Page |
This enforces more stringent data integrity for the Start and End Date fields on the Administrative Details page. The application will not accept an invalid date even if it is entered in the valid format (e.g., 13/32/2000 is in the valid format - MM/DD/YYYY - but is not a valid date). |
| Geographic Area - Hydrologic Unit Code Locator Error |
Selecting the Watershed button from the Advanced Search page brings up a window that enables users to build the USGS HUC value based upon selections from hierarchical pick lists of geographic information. |
| HTML Structure Manipulation |
Restrictions have been made to the values entered into the Abstract and Title fields. Certain text strings (representing HTML code that could manipulate the page functionality) will be stripped from the field. However, users can still use common HTML tags for formatting (bold text, bulleted lists, etc.) the Abstract field. |
| Replication of Textarea on Other Forms |
HTML entered in the Title field will be stripped out for all instances of the field. |
| JavaScript Injection |
Restrictions have been made to the values entered into the Abstract field. Certain text strings (representing JavaScript code that could manipulate the page functionality) will be stripped from the field. However, users can still use common HTML tags for formatting (bold text, bulleted lists, etc.). |
| Collection Librarian Can Promote Records Outside of the Collection |
Collection Librarians can no longer promote records for which they are the DEP to a Metadata Status of Reviewed if the record is not part of the collection for which they have promote privileges. |
| Unable to Update the Owner Organization in the Contacts Table |
Users can now successfully update the value for the Contact Organization with the Role of Owner. |
| Cannot Edit Personal Information for Non-Registered Contacts |
EIMS Administrators can now update the information on the Personal Details page for unregistered contacts without having to input all of the fields that are required for self- or EPA-registered users. |
| XML Reporting: Missing Contacts and Other Fields |
Although it can be customized, the Full Metadata Report defaults to displaying all populated fields for all sections with content. |
