ELAB Advisory Board

This section highlights the 'hot topics' of the Board that are receiving input from each of the Environmental Laboratory Advisory Board (ELAB) workgroups in generating materials for final Board determination.

The Environmental Laboratory Advisory Board (ELAB) is providing this copy of a table (89 pp, 797KB) comparing the Office of Water and The NELAC Institute (TNI) approaches for laboratory quality assessment or certification as a work in progress. This comparison table was discussed at the ELAB face-to-face meeting in San Antonio, TX on August 10, 2009 and during the September 16, 2009 monthly teleconference of the Board. The comparison table and cover letter are products of a subgroup of ELAB and not consensus documents from the Board. The entire Board is evaluating these work products to develop recommendations to EPA. Members of the stakeholder community, who are interested in providing further insight, comments, feedback, or opinion on the comparison table, can contact an ELAB member or use the "Contact Us" link from the ELAB website.
