Entity Type Description:
The Chemical Substance (CHEM_SUBST) entity type contains data identifying chemical substances that are regulated or monitored by EPA systems. Each substance is unique and is either a specific chemical, category, non-specific isomer or mixture. The entity type also includes references to biological, physical, and toxicological properties that are monitored by the Permit Compliance System (PCS).

Contains one record for each chemical referenced in EMCI using EMCIRN as the unique key. A chemical substance in CHEM_SUBST may refer to:
- Multiple records in SYS_CHEM, retrievable by EMCIRN.
