The U.S. Department of Energy's FY 2009 SBIR/STTR Phase I Funding Notice (Funding Opportunity Number: DE-PS02-08ER08-34) is available at Grants.gov. The deadline for receipt of Phase I grant applications to either program is November 15, 2010. All applications must be submitted through Grants.gov. The Superfund Research Program (SRP) is a network of university grants that are designed to seek solutions to the complex health and environmental issues associated with the nation's hazardous waste sites. The research conducted by the SRP is a coordinated effort with the Environmental Protection Agency, which is the federal entity charged with cleaning up the worst hazardous waste sites in the country.
