EPA Research Grants and Fellowships
This page provides access to research funding opportunities for scientists and engineers. The major funding categories are fellowships, which are awards to individual students or recent graduates for environmental study, and research grants. Grants and fellowships are offered to researchers affiliated with academic institutions and other not-for-profit organizations.
At EPA, most research grants and fellowships are administered by the National Center for Environmental Research of the Office of Research and Development.
Other assistance programs include the Postdoctoral Research Associateship Programs
and the American
Association for the Advancement of Science EPA Environmental Science and
Engineering Fellows Program
.
Although commercial research organizations are not eligible for grants and fellowships, in some cases they find opportunities for research and technical assistance through EPA Contracts. More information about assistance programs is also available from EPA's "Grants and Environmental Financing" page.
