Draft RCRA Model Standardized Permit
The following links are for the Draft RCRA Model Standardized Permits for Tanks, Containers, and Containment Buildings. The USEPA published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) for the RCRA Standardized Permit on October 12, 2001 in the Federal Register. The RCRA standardized permit is a general permit for facilities that generate waste on-site in tanks, containers, and containment buildings. Under the standardized permit, facility owners and operators would certify compliance with generic design and operating conditions set on a national basis. The permitting agency would review the certifications submitted by the facility owners or operators. The permitting agency would also be able to impose additional site- specific terms and conditions for corrective action or other purposes, as called for by RCRA.
