Illinois Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events
The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) maintains a schedule of collection events around the State of Illinois. Collection events for the new year will begin in the Spring of 2009. Please check the web site in late March 2009 for the Spring schedule.

IEPA also provides a list of long-term facilities that are available for disposal of household hazardous waste (locations vary). Call the listed numbers to determine availability and hours of operation.

The Indiana Department of Environmental (IDEM) Management maintains a list of contact information for local solid waste management districts (SWMDs) and household hazardous waste (HHW) service providers. In Indiana, both Solid Waste Management Districts and communities provide HHW services. If you are unsure about who to contact in your community with questions about HHW or recycling, SWMDs provide information for the county or counties they serve. The list is sorted by county name.

Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) maintains a map of local household hazardous waste collection facilities. Click on "Key to Map and County Contacts" on the right side of the page to get information on the facilities. Facilities highlighted in blue are regional household hazardous waste programs. Facilities listed below the blue rows are a part of the regional programs. Facilities highlighted in green are metro county facilities. For more information, scroll down to the bottom of the table. Contact the facility to determine availability and hours of operation.

Menards Free CFL Recycling Program
