States are currently implementing ERP initiatives in many sectors. ERPs can be divided into two categories. The first can be termed "Full ERPs" -- ERPs that involve random baseline inspections, facility self-certification, and random post-certification inspections. The second type can be called "ERP Cousins" -- typically, initiatives that involve either self-certification or random baseline and follow-up inspections, but not both. These "ERP Cousins" are designated with an asterisk, based upon the most current information available at the time of revising this web site.

Many states have ERPs in multiple business sectors, so different state contacts may be listed for different sectors. Different states pursuing common business sectors may have very different approaches in ERP, as the needs of ERP-participating facilites in each state are different.
