Ion Composition Elucidation (ICE)

About This SiteFigure 1 - For further information contact grange.andrew@epa.gov

This site provides immediate public access to a repository of information about ICE and its applications.

This site is intended to provide links to work performed in the future using ICE to identify compounds in environmental, biological, and other types of samples by numerous researchers, after ICE has been installed on double focusing mass spectrometers residing in their laboratories.

This site provides very limited background information about mass spectrometry to enable the public to understand the foundation of ICE, which is in fact, a simple adaptation of pre-existing data system capabilities provided by the manufacturers of double focusing mass spectrometers.

All information on this site (except that which has been published in the refereed literature and that provided by other researchers) should be considered as "draft" and thereby subject to modification.
