Green or sustainable building is the practice of creating healthier and more resource-efficient models of construction, renovation, operation, maintenance, and demolition. EPA provides information to homebuilders, businesses, and interested individuals and promotes green building through programs such as Indoor Environments, Environmentally Preferable Purchasing, and ENERGY STAR.
