Remote Sensing of Pollutants
|
Remote sensing is the small- or large-scale acquisition of information about an object or action using recording or real-time sensing devices. The devices are not in physical contact with the object. This Action Team promotes the use of remote sensing for environmental protection through demonstrations, identification of needs, conferences, and a Web site. The team provides input on remote sensing policy issues, determining support for commercial use of remote sensing, and the direction of remote sensing research.
