Environmental Technology Council
WHAT IS THE ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL?
The Environmental Technology Council (ETC) was established to enhance communication and coordination of all EPA technology activities. The Council has membership from all EPA technology programs, offices, and regions and meets on a regular basis to discuss technology solutions, technology needs and program synergies.
WHAT DOES THE ETC DO?
The Council's primary activities in identifying technology solutions are:
- Identify the priority environmental problems where technology is a critical factor in providing a cost- effective solution.
- Screen the problems using stakeholder input to determine priority for the Council’s attention.
- Set up temporary Action Teams to address problems. Each team will evaluate the status of possible technology solutions and recommend actions to address the problem.
These pages convey information about the Council and its activities to the public. All information linked to the left sidebar is publicly accessible.
WHAT IS THE ETC COMMUNICATION FORUM?
The communication forum is not accessible to the public. It is a communication tool that allows the ETC to communicate with each other, review project proposals, discuss meeting agendas and relay pertinent files in their role of enhancing and coordinating EPA technology activities.
