ETOPIf you're saying "If only I had a technology that could solve this environmental problem . . ." then ETOP's Technology Connection Can Help!

What is the Technology Connection program? The program matches anyone seeking new environmental technologies with over 2500 providers of innovative environmental technologies, pollution prevention techniques, and environmental management systems. EPA's Environmental Technology Opportunities Portal (ETOP) manages the program.

How much does it cost? The program is free. You have nothing to lose!

Who may participate? Anyone needing technologies or services to solve an environmental problem, address a compliance violation, and improve environmental performance. Participants can be companies, individuals, their representatives, or environmental agency staff who see current or future needs.

What if you don't want your name used in the announcement? That's OK. ETOP does not have to identify the requesting company or party in the listing, nor will EPA use this information for any other purpose. All responses from potential vendors go to ETOP, which forwards the responses to you. If you do not want ETOP to know who you are, omit the company's name and address from the form and use a non-identifying e-mail address.

How do I participate in Technology Connection? Use the form to electronically submit your announcement or use it as a template and e-mail it to morse.myles@epa.gov. ETOP will then place a short announcement in ETOP's electronic newsletter, Envirotech News, which summarizes the nature of the services you seek. Interested companies will respond to ETOP within 7 days by e-mail, and we will compile and forward you the results.

Can I see an example? Yes. Click here if you want to see an example announcement and the responses it generated.

Who should you contact if you have questions? You may telephone Myles Morse, at 202-343-9706 or send an e-mail to morse.myles@epa.gov.

Help us measure the success of this program. Please send ETOP an e-mail if you have feedback on this program -- particularly if you found a match. Send the e-mail to morse.myles@epa.gov.
