EPA to Host ETV Stakeholder's Briefing

WASHINGTON, DC (February 13, 2004) – The U.S. EPA’s Environmental Technology Verification Program (ETV) will hold a briefing on the most recent and upcoming innovative technology verifications in the areas of water, air, pollution prevention, toxics and homeland security.

Speakers will be:

  • Dr. Paul Gilman, EPA Assist. Administrator for Research and Development
  • Mr. Lee Mulkey, Acting Director, National Risk Management Research Laboratory
  • Mr. Tim Oppelt, Director, National Homeland Security Research Center
  • Ms. Teresa Harten, Director, ETV Program

During the briefing, vendors and ETV partners will describe their experiences with the program. Immediately following, the vendors will display their technologies.

ETV will discuss opportunities available through the innovative technology verifications program. The event will last approximately three hours. Vendor displays will be open during the event.

ETV’s goal is to provide quality-assured test data on the performance of new environmental technologies to speed their acceptance in the marketplace.

Schedule:   Wednesday, February 18, 2004 – 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
                 Technologies will be on display in Continental B until 2:00 p.m.
