Terrestrial Ecophysiological Research Area (TERA)
Facility – Corvallis, Oregon
Twelve extensively instrumented plant growth chambers or "terracosms"
which researchers can use to examine the effects of environmental
variables on a forest ecosystem comprise EPA's TERA facility.
Wet Laboratories – Corvallis,
Oregon
Equipped with state-of-the-art specialized analytical equipment, seawater
culture chambers, constant temperature rooms, and fresh- and sea-water
supply systems, this EPA facility supports research in marine fisheries,
microbiology, marine biology, aquaculture, water chemistry, and
oceanography.
