Notice of Filing of Pesticide Petitions

AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: This notice announces the initial filing of pesticide 
petitions proposing the establishment of regulations for residues of 
certain pesticide chemicals in or on various agricultural commodities.
DATES:  Comments, identified by the docket number PF-658, must be 
received on or before August 2, 1996.
ADDRESSES: By mail, submit written comments to: Public Response and 
Program Resources Branch, Field Operations Division (7506C), Office of 
Pesticide Programs, Environmental Protection Agency, 401 M St., SW., 
Washington, DC 20460. In person, bring comments to: Rm. 1132, CM #2, 
1921 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Arlington, VA. Information submitted and any 
comment(s) concerning this notice may be claimed confidential by 
marking any part or all of that information as ``Confidential Business 
Information'' (CBI). Information so marked will not be disclosed except 
in accordance with procedures set forth in 40 CFR part 2. A copy of the 
comment(s) that does not contain CBI must be submitted for inclusion in 
the public record. Information not marked confidential may be disclosed 
publicly by EPA without prior notice to the submitter. Information on 
the proposed test and any written comments will be available for public 
inspection in Rm. 1132 at the Virginia address given above, from 8 a.m. 
to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays.
    Comments and data may also be submitted electronically by sending 
electronic mail (e-mail) to: opp-docket@epamail.epa.gov. Electronic 
comments must be submitted as an ASCII file avoiding the use of special 
characters and any form of encryption. Comments and data will also be 
accepted on disks in WordPerfect 5.1 file format or ASCII file format. 
All comments and data in electronic form must be identified by the 
docket number [PF-658]. No Confidential Business Information (CBI) 
should be submitted through e-mail. Electronic comments on this 
proposed rule may be filed online at many Federal Depository Libraries.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: EPA has received the following pesticide 
petitions from Rohm and Haas Company, AgroEvo USA Company and Griffin 
Corporation proposing the establishment of regulations for residues of 
certain pesticide chemicals in or on various raw agricultaral commodities.
    PP 5F4582. Griffin Corporation, P.O. Box 1847, Rocky Ford Road, 
Valdosta, GA. 31603-1847 proposes to amend 40 CFR part 180 by 
establishing a tolerance for the residues of ethylene 
bisdithiocarbamate from the fungicides maneb and mancozeb calculated as 
zinc ethylene bisdithiocarbamate and their common metabolite 
ethylenethiourea in or on the raw agricultural commodity walnuts at 0.1 
parts per million (ppm).
    2. PP 6F4693. AgrEvo USA Company, Little Falls Center One, 2711 
Centerville Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, proposes to amend 40 CFR part 
180 by establishing a regulation to permit the combined residues of 
flutolanil (N-(3-(1-methylethoxy)phenyl)-2-(trifluoromethyl)benzamide)) 
and its metabolites converted to 2-trifluoromethyl benzoic acid and 
calculated as flutolanil, in or on the raw agricultural commodity 
potato tubers at 0.20 parts per million (ppm).
    3. PP 9F3812. Rohm and Haas Company, 100 Independence Mall West, 
Philadelphia, PA 19105 proposes to amend 40 CFR 180.443 by establishing 
a tolerance for the combined residues of the fungicide myclobutanil 
[alpha-butyl-alpha-(4-chlorphenyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole-1-propanenitrile] 
and its metabolite alpha-(3-hydroxbutyl)-alpha-(4-chlorophenyl)-1H-
1,2,4-triazole-1-propanenitrile (free and bound) in or on the raw 
agricultural commodity pome fruit at 0.5 ppm.
    4. FAP 6H5749. AgrEvo USA Company, Little Falls Center One, 2711 
Centerville Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, proposes to amend 40 CFR part 
185 by establishing a food additive regulation to permit the combined 
residues of flutolanil (N-(3-(1-methylethoxy)phenyl)-2-
(trifluoromethyl)benzamide)) and its metabolites converted to 2-
trifluoromethyl benzoic acid and calculated as flutolanil, in or on the 
processed food commodity potato, dry peel at 3.0 ppm.
     A record has been established for this document under docket 
number [PF-658] (including comments and data submitted electronically 
as described below). A public version of this record, including 
printed, paper versions of electronic comments, which does not include 
any information claimed as CBI, is available for inspection from 8 a.m. 
to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays. The
