About Full-Text Files

Note: EPA no longer updates this information, but it may be useful as a reference or resource.

The Food Quality Protection Act of 1966 (Pub. L. 104-170) changed the
definition of tolerances to eliminate the distinction between raw
agricultural commodity, food additive and animal feed tolerances.
For this reason there is no longer a need to distinguish among these
categories with separate tolerance regulations in 40 CFR parts 180,
185 and 186.

This companion full-text version of the section appearing parallel in the
Environmental Sub-Set of the FEDERAL REGISTER provides a reference
version of the entire section as of the day the companion amendment
appeared in the FEDERAL REGISTER. This material is being provided since
the next full-text version will not appear in the Code of Federal
Regulations (CFR) until the next annual revision on July 1.

For additional amendatory actions relating to this seciton, or any of the
sections being revoked in parts 185 and 186 it is recommended you check
the "List of CFR Sections Affected," which is revised monthly.

The full-text files are being made available in PDF (portable document
format) using the coded Government Printing Office (GPO) files from the
last available CFR revision. The files are being modified by the OPPTS
Federal Register Staff using the same process followed to produce the
actual FEDERAL REGISTER documents. Since this version is not a product
of the Office of the Federal Register and GPO, it is not "official" and
should be used only as a reader aid.

The process for acquiring the free PDF reader appear on the EPA Home
Page. A PDF plug-in for the Acrobat 3.0 reader will permit the conversion
of PDF files into ASCII. The plug-in is available from
FTP://FTP.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobatreader/Win3.x/plugins. The files are
ACCS 16B2.exe and 16B2.txt for 3.0.
