Proposed Test Guidelines; Extension of Comment Period
AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
ACTION: Notice; Extension of Comment Period.

SUMMARY: On December 15, 1999, EPA issued a notice announcing the
availability of proposed tests for the Series 810-Product Performance
Testing Guidelines titled ``OPPTS 810.3700 Insect Repellents For Human
Skin and Outdoor Premises'' and a Pesticide Registration (PR) Notice
titled ``Insect Repellents: Labeling, Data Citations, and Testing
Criteria'' explaining specific areas of the guideline and recommended
label language. Due to the complexity of the proposed test guideline
and the potential health concerns to humans, EPA has decided to extend
the comment period from January 14, 2000, to February 14, 2000.
DATES: Comments, identified by docket control number OPP-00633, must be
received by EPA on or before February 14, 2000.

person. Please follow the detailed instructions for each method as
provided in Unit III. of the ``SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION.'' To ensure

I. Does this Action Apply to Me?
This action is directed to the public in general. Although this
action may be of particular interest to those persons who are or may be
required to conduct testing of chemical substances under the Toxic
Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act
(FFDCA), or the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act
(FIFRA), the Agency has not attempted to describe all the specific
entities that may be affected by this action. If you have any questions
regarding the applicability of this action to a particular entity,
consult the technical person listed under ``FOR FURTHER INFORMATION
CONTACT.''

with procedures set forth in 40 CFR part 2. In addition to one complete
version of the comment that includes any information claimed as CBI, a

EPA is extending the comment period from January 14, 2000, to
February 14, 2000, on the proposed test guideline for the Series 810
guidelines titled ``OPPTS 810.3700 Insect Repellents For Human Skin and
Outdoor Premises Product Performance Testing Guidelines'' and a PR
notice titled ``Insect Repellents: Labeling, Data Citations, and
Testing Criteria'' explaining specific areas of the guideline and
