Methane's Role in Promoting Sustainable Development in the Oil and Natural Gas Industry (PDF) (21 pp, 233 K, About PDF)
This World Gas Conference paper was developed in collaboration with PEMEX of Mexico, Pluspetrol of Argentina, Gazprom of Russia, and EnCana of the United States. The paper summarizes established methods to identify, measure, and reduce methane emissions from equipment and processes in oil and natural gas operations. This paper was originally published for the 24th World Gas Conference that took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 5-9 October 2009 and is contained in the conference proceedings.
