White Paper: Summary of the NOAA Workshop - Ecological Effect of Sea Level Rise in the Florida Panhandle and Coastal Alabama: Research and Modeling Needs. http://www.cop.noaa.gov/stressors/climatechange/workshops/slr-fl-al-2008.html. 25p. (ERL,GB X1112).
This document summarizes the discussion and conclusions reached by participants in a NOAA sponsored workshop held at theGulf Ecology Division in January 2008. The workshop addressed the topic of ecological effects of sea-level rise in the Florida Panhandle and Coastal Alabama. One of the central aims of the workshop was to identify research priorities to be communicated to prospective applicants for NOAA's expected RFP, which will launch a research program addressing the topic of the White Paper. This White Paper summarizes the consensus of the workshop of the scientific gaps and management needs to develop ecological models, maps and tools to forecast sea level effects on coastal ecosystems |
