Water Supply Stressors
Human activities alter the way water moves through the landscape. Natural landscapes retain and slow the movement of water. Water retained in this way replenishes the ground water supply. The loss of these natural landscapes would result in the need for more man made reservoirs and desalination plants at much higher cost.
