FY 2002 - 2003 Great Lakes National Program Office Request for Proposals / Funding Guidance
Decisions on Proposals: FY2002 - 2003 Competitive Grants Process
Decisions on Proposals submitted to the U.S. EPA - Great Lakes National Program Office (GLNPO) FY2002 competitive grants process have been made. Earlier this year in response to GLNPO's solicitation for $2.9 million in projects, applicants submitted 192 proposals, seeking $20.2 million in funding. GLNPO is now requesting that applicants formally apply for funding for 48 projects totaling $3 million. One or more of these projects is located in each of the Great Lakes states. The list at the end of this message, along with applicant names, will be posted on the Internet on this page (http://www.epa.gov/glnpo/fund/2002fund/yeslist.html).
Please be aware that the final decisions on whether to fund particular projects will only be made following evaluation of the full federal application packages. Also note that applicants may be asked to submit a revised proposal for an amount different than originally requested and that additional negotiation may be necessary regarding the project scope and amount. Project officers from GLNPO will contact the applicants for the projects listed below and will send specific guidance along with grant application kits. Applicants for these projects do not need to do anything until they have been contacted by their project officer.
Whenever possible, we have forwarded the projects for which applications are not being requested to other funding processes for their consideration. Should there be questions concerning that follow-up effort or about GLNPO's review process, applicants can contact the applicable person below:
