FY 2004 - 2005 Great Lakes National Program Office Funding Guidance
Decisions on Proposals: FY2004 - 2005 Competitive Grants Process
Selections of Proposals submitted to the USEPA Great Lakes
National Program Office (GLNPO) FY2004-2005 Funding Guidance process
for competitive grants have been made. Earlier this year in response
to GLNPO's solicitation for $3.78 million in FY04 funding,
applicants submitted 265 proposals totaling $25 million. 77 projects
totaling approximately $3.8 million have been selected. Projects are
distributed across each of the Great Lakes basins, with two or more
projects located in each of the Great Lakes states. GLNPO is now
requesting full grant applications for the projects identified at
the end of this message.
Applicants should be aware that the final decisions on whether to
fund particular projects will only be made following evaluations of
the full federal application packages. Additional negotiation may be
necessary regarding project scopes and amounts. USEPA staff will
contact the applicants for the projects listed below and will send
specific guidance for submitting the full federal application
packages, though applicants who wish to do so may begin working with
the forms available online at
http://www.epa.gov/greatlakes/fund/appforms.html. Those packages
are due by July 15, 2004. As described in the Funding Guidance, some
of the projects below are expected to funded through and
administered by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation as a
Grants Servicing Intermediary.
