MEETING THE CHALLENGE
Environment Canada and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) would like to invite you to attend the spring meeting of the Great Lakes Binational Toxics Strategy. The one-day meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2000 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at the Delta Chelsea Inn, 22 Gerrard Street West, Toronto, Ontario. Registration with begin at 8:00am. Please note that hotel reservations must be made by Friday, April 14th to receive the special meeting rate.
The theme for the forum is 'Meeting the Challenge'. As the name suggests, this meeting will highlight both progress to date and further work that needs to be accomplished to meet the Binational Toxics Strategy goals. There will be a short plenary session in the morning, with breakout sessions for the substance-specific workgroups beginning at 1pm. The breakout sessions will provide a forum for the work groups to meet and discuss their efforts on the reduction challenges.
