Lake Erie Coordinated Science and Monitoring Request for
Applications

Under this Request for Applications (PDF, 27 pages, 136 KB), EPA’s Great Lakes National Program Office expects to make funding available for the following projects in approximately the amounts indicated below:
- Lake Erie Western Basin Algal Bloom Study ($100,000)
- Central and Eastern Basin Studies of nearshore/ offshore nutrient fluxes and interactions ($150,000)
- Lake Erie Bioavailable Phosphorus Studies ($100,000)
- Lake Erie Basin tillage and nutrient management study ($75,000)
- Lake Erie Basin On-Farm Demonstration Projects ($75,000)
Due Date for Proposals: February 2, 2009.
Submissions must be postmarked or received by EPA or electronically through
grants.gov by midnight, CST. Closed - 12 applications
received
Application Information: Applicants may submit proposals by either of two
methods: paper submission (see page 17 of the Request for Applications) OR
(ii) submission through
http://www.grants.gov/ (see Attachment A of the Request for
Applications). Information about both methods is described in Section IV of
the Request for Applications.

Related Request for Proposals. On November 24, the
Ohio Lake Erie Commission, Lake Erie Protection Fund, announced a separate
grant offering concerning specific nutrient related issues in Lake Erie.
