To request data from the Lake Michigan Mass Balance Project, see the Data Request page or e-mail Ken Klewin, the Data Manager.

3. How are the data released to secondary users?

  • by direct download if requesting selected comma-separated-values (.csv) datasets
  • by E-mail attachment – if requesting only a few, small datasets
  • by Data CD or other media – contains all requested verified and validated data

4. What file formats are these data in?

The data are exported into several common spreadsheet formats:

  • CSV - comma separated values (readable by any spreadsheet)
  • WK1 - Lotus
  • DBF - dBase
  • SD2 – SAS Version 6

Other file formats available for some datasets:

  • TAB – Tab (Hex "09" delimited)
  • SAS7BDAT – SAS Version 8
  • XLS – Excel

5. Where can I find metadata documentation for this data?

The following metadata information is available:

6. When will all the LMMB datasets be ready for release?
