| Community Profile The City of Gresham seeks to utilze 100 percent renewable energy for all City operations by 2030. The City adopted a Sustainability Plan for CIty Operations in 2010 that established the 2030 renewable energy goal as well as other sustainability goals. It also has formed an energy management workgroup to provide the City with guidance towards achieving it energy efficiency goals. The City seeks to accomplish its goals through energy conservation, on-site renewable generation, and green power purchasing. For the Community, the City has focused efforts on both promoting energy efficiecy initiatives as well as renewable solar energy in the residential sector. Over 50 Gresham homes have participated in the Clean Energy Works Oregon residential energy efficiency retrofit program and close to 30 Gresham homes have added rooftop solar over the last 6 months through our Solar Gresham community solar initiative. | |
