| Partner Profile With a population of over 15,000 residents, the City of River Falls is located in northwestern Wisconsin, just 35 minutes from the Twin Cities area. As a result of the "green" culture that exists in River Falls, the city's wholesale power provider challenged our public power provider, River Falls Municipal Utilities, to "lead by example". To lead by example, the City of River Falls and River Falls Municipal Utilities look at internal behaviors and practices to use energy resources more efficiently. This includes a purchase by the city government of renewable energy equal to nine percent of municipal electric load. Together with businesses and residences in the community, River Falls is committed to being a leader in energy efficiency and renewables within the region and the State of Wisconsin. | |
