| Partner Profile Community IT Innovators (C.I.T.I.) is an IT partner for nonprofits in the Mid-Atlantic region, having provided IT support and service to over 900 nonprofits since 1993. In line with its commitment to be a sustainable organization with positive financial, social, and environmental results, C.I.T.I. is powered by 100 percent wind energy. The company had been purchasing RECs (renewable energy credits) since 2004. However, in 2011 C.I.T.I signed a two-year clean energy contract with a local provider that actually reduces the projected cost of energy for the company’s 4,000 square foot office. C.I.T.I. CEO David Deal said that “Our purchase of 100 percent clean energy is proving to be not only the right thing to do for our environment, but is also helping us to reduce overall energy costs. It’s an easy choice to make when doing the right thing also helps to save money.” | |
