This special district, where property owners have agreed to tax themselves to fund services, encompasses a 138-block area of approximately 520 properties. Administrative and management staff are experienced and knowledgeable individuals that share a passion and vision for improving the physical, economic and social environment in Downtown DC.
The BID's DowntownDC ecoDistrict program, created on Earth Day 2011, is committed to helping make Downtown more sustainable by promoting better energy, water, waste, and transportation management in building construction and maintenance practices, including promotion of the Green Power Parners program with members.
