Partner Profile In 2006 Grand Targhee Resort (GTR) increased its commitment to renewable energy from 25% of its total electric consumption to 100%! This commitment was realized through the purchase of 35oo megawatt-hours of wind power annually. GTR is also installing onsite PV arrays and studying onsite wind and geothermal resources. GTR firmly believes that addressing environmental, social, AND economic bottom lines is the business model for the future. Its purchase of renewable energy is a strong signal of its intention to combat global warming, reduce US dependence on foreign oil, and end our reliance on destructive and dwindling supplies of fossil fuels.
